Lanzarote has only one airport, which is situated in Guacimeta, between the capital, Arrecife and the popular town of Puerto del Carmen. There are local and international flights available from the airport and it has recently been renovated to become a more comfortable and convenient place for tourists and locals alike. Bars and restaurants are found here, as well as money changers for converting foreign currencies to Euro denominations. Bank machines are also present for those who lack cash.
